Keep me in your Heart for a While

When I am on my own for a day, I often wander back. I'm likely to reread stories, take walks in places I know, sit in the shadows and sun, feeling the day pass by as a breeze. Memories of folks gone on visit with me. This is where I go during days by myself. Time is unsettled, conversations reviewed, phantom voices and touches can surround me. At the end, I fold them away again, safe in my heart - beloved, until we meet again.
