...seem to be commonplace now; many mid-sentence a connection are dropped, lost, un-concluded along the way. Does the other person call you right back or assume there is no need, that these things just happen? Not often it seems. We talk so much, about this and that, perhaps too often to hear ourselves (or perhaps our friends) speak across the wire, not so much of what we are saying just that we are saying it to each other. When we traveling, walking driving moving along, we chat along. The silence, road noise, boot heels are over ridden by these so casual conversations or dueling monologues; we rattle on.

I long to sit with you, spend the evening near you, share our thoughts, be with you.
