Autumn again

There are holly berries out there in the yard along with that yellow rose that keeps blooming.
We are still in Portland but it is very unclear for how long or what happens next.
How far away is Orion now as six o'clock arrives dark?

I am so glad to hear from you! I was thinking of you just this afternoon as I walked back to uni from running an errand, and wondering just what your plan was, or if you had one. I am likely to be in the US for a bit of December, and hope to see you while there. I'm looking to be in the Bay Area for a geology conference 14-18 December, so want to attend the Boar's Hunt on the 12th. 19 December is my mom's birthday, so I need to head straight to Seattle from the conference, and then want to get to Alaska, where I hope to stay for a New Years bardic, since I haven't been to one of them in many years. When you know where you will be during that time I hope we can work out a way to see one another!

I know you will be here for bears bday. Can't wait to see you! I even have a great bottle of wine to open. My new $10 find that tastes amazing! Ok I shouldn't have said the price. But that is a part of its charm!

I am glad your yard gives you autumn joy. The simplest things like that are eternal, and in some ways can't be taken away, they're free for our eyes.

I hope whatever happens next will be "okay" by you. I worry for you, my unmet but still cared about friend, if I may call you that. (Even though we hardly know eachother. No matter.)
