December 's pause

Three brown maple leaves sneaked in, flat, wet, and dark on the living room floor. The cats are watching them. Rain coming down most the day but warm and sweet to be out walking in some. Triple ginger cookies scent the house and there is a stew finishing itself up in the crock pot. "Reel Around the Sun" starting up slow and building through the speakers. Much to be done, always always always, time to rest and settle found though. Dark outside the windows, slow steps, picking up, pattern of the weather and the drums, week rolling up and the next beginning!
