thankful soup

Very few things are as homey to me as a pot of soup on the stove. Onions, carrots, celery, garlic, olive oil and spices all stirred up together - joined by broth and split peas - bubbling warm and inviting. Biscuits in the oven soon, bluegrass on the radio, and candle light chasing shadows round a small room...thankful for all I've got, thankful for living.
