Out in the Rain again

Today I was out walking for miles on a trail, in the pouring rain with two fine teen-aged friends, my husband, and our dogs - all of them mostly humoring me having a sweet and memorable time. There were sheets of blown rain, shining wet trees, MUD, laughter, and enough grins to make your face hurt while we wandered there and back again. I am so grateful for these focused hours of happiness in the oddest places.
