finally at least something to hope on

A position was posted at a local shelter, one that I certainly am qualified to do and would be happy doing. I sent in the required resume and cover letter and was please to find that I even had relevant things to say about what I have learned at my current temp job doing licensing canvassing: quick, warm, and informative conversations can be very important, learning the skills to make a very fast connection (with a variety of folks) can really make a positive difference in the long run.

There was a break in the summer scorching that we were being fired with, cool and gray sweetness for a few days. My son chatted on about the wonderful fog, just falling misty rain. We were glad for it. There was some camping down, waterfalls climbed and ocean sides walked by, a lighthouse marveled and dogs made gleeful by the trails. A pair of glasses were lost to the Alsea River gods and my poor man was blind for most of a weekend. He said used his other senses more and was a very good sport about it all.
